Job Summary:

As a key driver of Foundation work, the Director of Operations will perform a variety of tasks needed to accomplish the Foundation’s mission and vision. The role will develop and execute strategic administrative, communications, and fundraising priorities for the Foundation. This Director role will understand and add operational value to the Foundation’s vision, anticipate and avert problems, and possess organizational intelligence. The Director of Operations must be creative and enjoy working within a small mission-driven environment that is community minded. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations along with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, as well as the following characteristics: Must be able to lead independent research and competently lead issue-focused meetings, initiatives, high-level conferences, and other events without supervision; Must perform strategic thinking and problem analysis, be able to simplify complexity and manage the process of an idea / directive to execution; Must be able to work under pressure at times, and to handle confidential matters with discretion; Be comfortable working with high-ranking decision makers, senior level executives, current and potential funders, and GCF senior leadership; possess the ability to work collegially with staff at all levels and in all job profiles.

Full-time Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Develop and execute administrative, communications, and fundraising priorities; Translate ideas and insights into actionable programs, initiatives, thought leadership and research projects with specific and measurable outcomes; Use data, analytics and insights to determine program and initiative success. Understand and track the effectiveness of key initiatives, research, programs/events, and overall enhancement of stakeholder results; Coordinate GCF’s fundraising calendar and assist with design and formulation of fundraising strategy;
