A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Shift Supervisor in Jackson, MS.The Shift Supervisor will be working for a Fortune 500 company andhas career growth potential. Compensation:
The pay for this position is starting at $56,000 per year Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days ofemployment A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employeeswith 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Eligible for a 10% annual bonus
Highlights:
This position is a contract assignment with the potential to hirepermanently based on attendance, performance, and businessneeds The required availability for this position is rotating shifts(7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating every 3months)
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise shift operations in a mining and materialsprocessing environment Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed and lead monthlysafety meetings Maintain compliance with company policies, labor contracts, andquality standards Monitor production rates and troubleshoot operational issues toensure efficiency Review and approve timecards, attendance records, and overtimerequests Track production metrics, including material handling, pre-driedclay processing, and equipment performance Ensure proper quality control measures are in place and address anydeviations promptly Communicate production plans and shift changes with employees andleadership Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and implementcorrective actions Assist in employee performance management, including coaching anddocumentation Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of work areas
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Supervisory experience required Manufacturing experience required (experience with dry products andElevation Transfer Units preferred) Computer proficiency required MSHA Part 46 safety training (24-hour course) required beforestarting Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus JD Edwards experience is a plus Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
