Job Description

Director of Business Operations Regents School of Oxford Oxford, MS 38655 The Director of Business Operations is responsible for the daily oversight and management of non-financial operational areas within the school, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and strategic priorities. This includes areas such as human resources, benefits administration, enrollment operations, facilities coordination, vendor relationships, and risk management. This role emphasizes organizational efficiency, excellent internal and external customer service, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day business office operations
  • Oversee human resources, employee onboarding, benefits, and general operations.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal constituents related to enrollment operations, contracts, and scheduling support.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors including insurance, benefits, and purchasing.
  • Assist with administration of school-wide platforms (e.g., FACTS SIS, Gusto, Paycom, and QuickBooks Workforce).
  • Ensure that internal controls and procedures related to operations are documented and followed.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Finance to support the annual budget development and expenditure monitoring for operational areas.
  • Collaborate with Advancement and Admissions to support business-related aspects of donor management and student enrollment.
  • Collaborate with Advancement to properly record and track fundraising income and donor-restricted gifts. Ensure adequate allocation of funds and communicate with coaches, teachers, stakeholders about allocation and use of funds
  • Monitor compliance with relevant school policies, state and federal laws, and accreditation standards.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Finance, ensure accountability in terms of accounting, financial statements, and working with auditors within the daily operations of the school
  • Oversight of school Venmo account
  • Support the Head of School with contract review and vendor negotiations.
  • Provide leadership in improving processes, systems, and workflows for greater effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Administration, Accounting, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar business or operations role or accounting/finance, ideally in a school or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with an orientation toward service.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in systems used by schools for HR, payroll, finance, and student information (Gusto, QuickBooks Workforce, FACTS, Microsoft Office or similar).
  • Experience with vendor contracts, HR policies, and general operations.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
