Full-Time Overview The Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of SR1 College Preparatory and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Academy (SR1 CPSA), an innovative elementary STEM-focused charter school. The Operations Manager ensures the smooth and effective management of school operations so that instructional leaders and teachers can focus on student achievement. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. The Operations Manager serves as the point person for managing the front office, handling parent/guardian and staff concerns, managing staff attendance and time reporting, overseeing student transportation logistics, coordinating purchasing and order requisitions, and ensuring that school operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned with SR1 CPSA’s mission and vision. Core Responsibilities Front Office & School Environment

  • Serve as the lead representative of the school front office, creating a welcoming, professional, and safe environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Supervise front office operations and front desk staff.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records and reporting in compliance with state and school policies.
  • Manage front office systems and procedures, ensuring they are efficient and aligned with school goals. Parent/Guardian & Staff Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for addressing and triaging parent/guardian concerns.
  • Facilitate timely communication between school leadership and families.
  • Support staff in resolving operational concerns and serve as liaison to leadership for escalated issues. Staff Attendance & Time Management
  • Oversee staff attendance and time tracking systems; ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and leave requests.
  • Work with Human Resources and school leadership to ensure adherence to staff time and attendance policies.
  • Provide regular reports on staff attendance trends to leadership. Transportation Coordination
  • Manage day-to-day student transportation logistics, including coordinating bus schedules and routes with transportation vendors.
  • Serve as the school point of contact for transportation-related concerns from families and staff.
  • Monitor and ensure transportation services are safe, timely, and compliant with school policies and state regulations. Purchasing & Order Requisitions
  • Manage the school’s order requisition process for instructional, operational, and facility supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors to procure supplies and services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and expenditures.
  • Ensure alignment of purchases with budget allocations and grant requirements. Additional Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate school safety procedures and emergency drills.
  • Maintain inventory of office, technology, and facility supplies.
  • Assist with logistical planning and implementation for school events and field trips.
  • Maintain building maintenance request system and serve as liaison with maintenance staff/vendors.
  • Ensure school operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding of new staff regarding operational procedures and expectations.
  • Serve as a member of the school leadership team, contributing to operational planning and continuous improvement.
  • Support implementation of innovative operational processes to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School. Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience in operations management, office administration, or school operations.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, school administration, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, and families.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and school data systems.
  • Knowledge of school operations, compliance requirements, and best practices preferred.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
