Position Summary:

WGI is seeking a full-time Director of Operations to play a pivotal role in supporting the C-Suite executive team to ensure efficient operations. The Director of Operations will act as a strategic planner, and operational leader, streamlining processes and fostering collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the defense contracting industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Align with the C-Suite leadership team to develop and execute the company’s strategic goals and initiatives. Monitor the progress of key projects and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Oversee day-to-day HQ operations to ensure smooth workflow across all departments. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational success. Act as a liaison between the C-Suite and other staff members, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across teams. Organize and lead staff meetings, team building and ensuring actionable outcomes and follow-ups. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to support professional growth. Assist in managing relationships with clients, partners, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and contractual obligations across the departments. Support proposal development as needed. Lead or oversee high-priority initiatives and ad hoc projects, ensuring successful execution. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making on critical issues. Be willing to backfill and support your staff when in need. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements /

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered. 8+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within the defense contracting or related industry. Strong understanding of government contracting processes and regulations (e.g., NIST/CMMC/DCAA/FAR/DFARS). Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Proficiency in using productivity tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management tools). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Understanding of security procedures and compliance requirements across multiple domains. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of adaptability. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security clearance.
