Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Operations to join the leadership team at their childcare center in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Monday-Friday; year-round employment Salary $60,000 – $70,000/year pending education, certifications, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Bonus incentive paid quarterly Benefits Health/dental/vision insurance available 401(k) with employer match Free tuition for up to three children Paid time off Paid holidays Professional development opportunities Responsibilities Oversee all operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, managing budget/finances, relationship building, quality assurance related to health & safety, and faculty onboarding, training & development Use a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the school for the future Develop strong relationships with families Comply with state childcare licensing regulations Project a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment Willingness to serve in various roles as needed Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records Qualifications

REQUIRED

Education:

Bachelors degree required; degree in Early Childhood Education or education-related field highly preferred

REQUIRED

Leadership Experience:

At least 3-years of continuous experience as a Director or Assistant Director in a licensed childcare center or preschool with at least 100 enrolled students and at least 20 employees Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility
