Full Time Position Summary:

The Director of Equipment Operations performs a variety of duties related to managing an intercollegiate equipment department; including, but not limited to, equipment and apparel ordering/receiving, inventory control, laundry services, and business office interaction regarding budgetary compliance for all 21 varsity sports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage equipment ordering, storage, distribution, maintenance, and disposal for 21 varsity sports. Manage the relationship with the University apparel vendor, including assigning initial allocations, communicating with coaches around ordering deadlines, and processing orders and returns placed by coaches. Maintain inventory records for all athletic apparel/footwear/gear. Prepare and monitor equipment and apparel budgets, forecasting lifecycle costs, and instituting inventory controls. Interact with athletics business office staff and sport coaches to provide budget planning, ordering compliance, and inventory auditing on an ongoing basis as well as provide accurate reports in a timely manner. Manage, along with the marketing staff, the department’s branding efforts and style guide compliance. Oversee the embellishment process for all apparel. Oversee and manage the athletic department’s shipping and receiving area. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Assistant AD- Business Operations. Conduct all activities in compliance with NCAA, CAA, and University rules and regulations.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Excellent organization skills; ability to prioritize work and multitask. Excellent analytical as well as computing skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to resolve complaints and concerns for both internal and external parties. Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions; ability to take initiative and ownership of projects. Experience and skills working independently and as part of a team. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays; some travel required. Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment. Broad knowledge of Campbell University policies and procedures and FERPA guidelines .
