Job Description

In charge of managing all game day operations and athletic facilities. Manages the eligibility status of 500 student-athletes as well as incoming student-athletes and transfers. Manage many day-to-day operations for the department.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage all game day responsibilities for all athletic events.
  • Manage all game day staff and workers.
  • Manage and maintain all athletic facilities.
  • Manage inventory of all supplies and essential materials needed for game day operations.
  • Managing all ticket/concession money for all athletic events.
  • Be a direct contact with Facilities Management Department for all athletic facilities projects and maintenance requests.
  • Coordinate with university departments as well as outside organizations for athletic facility use.
  • Create game day operations plans and protocols for all sports.
  • Manage the eligibility status of 500 student-athletes as well as incoming student-athletes and transfers.
  • Create and manage official rosters for 23 athletic teams in the
NCAA, ARMS

software and Colleague.

  • In charge of creating and managing National Letters of Intent for all prospective student-athletes.
  • Researches eligibility status for all potential transfer students through NCAA Transfer Portal and athletic tracer forms.
  • Assist in certifying all official rosters eligibility prior to submitting them to the conference office.
  • Assist student-athletes with getting their eligibility paperwork completed and submitted.
  • Manage all requirements for NCAA Sports Sponsorship, Academic Tracking, Demographics Reports and Membership Financial Reports.
  • Manage and distribute all grade reports to coaches for mid-term and final grades each semester.
  • Coordinate class release dates and departure schedules for all sports to communicate with faculty and staff.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail for entire athletics department.
  • Report monthly work reports to Human Resources for all athletics staff.
  • Building manager for Chambers Gym, Merrill Press Box, Ammons Concession Stand/Ticket Booth, Henderson Press Box and Ponder Press Box.
  • Manage all office supply and paper orders for entire athletic department.
  • Direct contact for all IT services as well as Facilities Management services.
  • Create graphics and announcements to promote the athletic department.
  • Assist in project creation and management for the Lion Athletic Club.
  • Create practice schedule calendars for all indoor sports and assist with outdoor sports practice schedule calendar creation.
  • Assist with team transportation.
Qualifications:

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree with a successful background in game day management and NCAA compliance. Strong communication, organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage game day operations and NCAA compliance requirements.
