To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Performance Project Specialist in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to oversee the daily operations for the company in new locations or locations with general manager vacancies. This includes assisting in candidate selection, supporting station management with operational activities in accordance with established policies and procedures, and conducting station observations to monitor compliance. The successful candidate will have two years of supervisory experience in both ramp and customer service functions. This position will report to the Manager, Performance and Compliance.
Essential Duties:
Oversee the daily operations for the company in new locations or locations with general manager vacancies Assist stations with candidate selection Understand the corporate culture, policies, and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines Support station management with operational activities of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures Manage a staff with varied duties to provide support work in our station locations Administrative duties include daily/weekly/monthly reports Liaison between stations, Piedmont Airlines leadership, and American Airlines in policies and procedures Conduct station observations to monitor compliance with various regulations and audit controls, analyze system trends, and prepare reports
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Proven success as a team leader with ability to preplan manpower and equipment Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff Ability to defuse conflicts among team members Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items Familiarity with station scorecard data Experience with scheduling and bids Knowledge of company and regulatory agency audits Two (2) years supervisory experience in both ramp and customer service functions
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous general manager experience Previous experience in hiring/staffing station personnel Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre, and Internal Controls Manual (ICM) Strong data analysis skills Familiarity with Tableau Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, or related field
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels 95% Travel to include multiple overnight stays which could exceed one month Ability to work all shits, including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Physical Requirements:

Starting Rate:
