00 -5:30PM Responsible for the implementation of ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency by supervising employees within the designated area of responsibility (central scheduling) within the Department of Pre-Visit Services. Qualifications:
Education :
High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred
Experience :
A minimum of 3 years experience in scheduling, patient access, registration, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a medical environment required. Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a heath care environment preferred. Additional skills required : Knowledge and understanding of scheduling operations, insurance billing practices, patient registration and admitting operations in an acute care setting. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic accounting and medical terminology required. Knowledge of regulatory and third party payer requirements to ensure compliance. Ability to assimilate information, identify problems and needs, and make any associated decisions required. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed Additional skills preferred : Experience in operating personal computers and printers preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.).
