Position Overview:

We are seeking Farm Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily field operations across our vegetable farm. The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for organic agriculture.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day field operations including planting, irrigation, pest and disease control, harvest scheduling, and post-harvest handling Supervise staff, ensuring safety and organic certification standards are followed Monitor crop health and field conditions to optimize yield and quality Develop and implement work plans in collaboration with ownership Maintain and operate farm equipment, ensuring repairs are completed as needed Track and manage inventory of supplies, tools, and inputs Assist with organic compliance documentation and recordkeeping Coordinate with partners to align field harvests with sales and delivery schedules

Qualifications:

Experience in farm management, vegetable production, or a similar agricultural role preferred Strong knowledge of organic farming practices and principles Experience with squash, cucumbers, or similar crops strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to manage crews, schedules, and equipment Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of farm machinery and irrigation Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus) Valid driver’s license and ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
