Job Description Are you a highly organized, solutions-oriented professional who loves creating systems to support students and families? KIPP New Jersey is seeking a School Operations Manager to lead critical administrative functions, manage student records, and foster a seamless school experience for families, staff, and students. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Student Records & Compliance Coordinate student registration, transfers, withdrawals, and record maintenance throughout the school year and summer sessions.
Manage the school’s student information system, ensuring data accuracy for attendance, grades, class schedules, and personal records.
Serve as the custodian of student records, ensuring compliance with state and district regulations.
Lead the printing and distribution of report cards and manage audit-related uploads. School Operations & Communication Build and implement systems to manage communication, office activities, and paperwork efficiently.
Act as the primary point of contact for families, distributing newsletters, generating all-calls, and creating school marketing materials.
Manage and train part-time employees to support school operations and administrative tasks.
Liaise with vendors, including transportation and nutrition services. Student Recruitment and Enrollment Organize and host student recruitment events.
Manage the enrollment process, ensuring compliance documents and records are accurate and up to date. Attendance Management Track and monitor attendance data to ensure accuracy and drive high student attendance rates.
Collaborate with staff and families to address attendance concerns and develop support plans. Testing & Technology Serve as the testing coordinator, managing rosters, materials, and schedules.
Support students and staff with technology tools like Clever and blended learning programs.

Qualifications Must Haves:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience managing databases and reporting.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to proactively problem-solve and anticipate challenges.
Superb customer service skills and a solutions-oriented mindset, even in high-stress situations.

Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role, educational setting, or non-profit.
Familiarity with budgeting and purchasing processes.
Additional Information Compensation & Benefits The salary for the School Operations Manager is $60,000 – $78,956.In addition to a competitive salary, KIPP NJ offers a generous benefits package including, but not limited to, the following: Robust benefits that include medical, dental, and vision
