Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Director of Plant Operations will report directly to the COO and is responsible for all operations activities related to our New Jersey and Arizona manufacturing facilities. You will be empowered to lead and develop a growing team to achieve quality excellence and manufacturing efficiencies. The role involves responsibilities in preproduction planning, manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing. It includes creating, implementing, and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance the plant’s capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop teams in each area. Enable team members to use tools such as effective meetings, consensus building, coaching, problem solving, audits and feedback to meet team and plant goals.
- Responsible at all times for promoting a positive safety culture.
- Awareness within area of responsibility. Support and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
- Offer direction, expertise and effort in specific manufacturing areas by exceeding KPIs
- Review, develop, implement and revise (as needed) all processes and procedures within the manufacturing areas assigned to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Actively participate in supplier interaction activities, such as in-sourcing, outsourcing, quality and delivery issues, and supplier visits and audits.
- Utilizing lean and six sigma methodologies, meeting daily production target goals, improving product quality by reducing defects, reducing labor hours, adhering to departmental budget, enforcing policies on a consistent basis, maintaining department moral, and promoting the future leaders from within.
- Communicate performance of the plant to Sales Team and Executive Management on a regular basis.
- Build positive relationships across all functions, partnering closely with all internal stakeholders.
- Maintain apetent staff through selection, training, development, motivation and performance management.
- Direct execution of operating policies to support overallpany objectives.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Education, Training, And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field. - At least 10 years of experience, a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management role supervising managerial staff.
Job Requirements/ Skills/Qualifications:
- Solid working knowledge of strategic & operational planning and business development
- Prior Nutraceuticals, Pharma or Food manufacturing experience
- Understanding, and maintaining, of
US FDA CFR 111, NSF 455
cGMP Certification, GFCO Certification, SQF Certification
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Warehouse management software. Knowledge of De is a plus
- Must have the ability to effectively and professionally interface with all levels within the organization
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at any given time
- High level of integrity and discretion
- Ability to work efficiently and guide the team accordingly
- Bilingual is a plus
