Required Years of Experience 2 years Job Details Yun Hai is Hiring a Full-Time Operations Manager in NYC Yun Hai 雲海® (www.yunhai.shop) is a specialty Taiwanese food importer offering premium ingredients sourced directly from artisans, farms, and breweries in Taiwan. We distribute across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels with physical locations in Long Island City (HQ) and Williamsburg (retail store). We are seeking an Operations Manager responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences and seamless operations from our warehouse all the way to the hands of the customer. This hands-on role manages the day-to-day logistics and operations across our e-commerce, wholesale, and brick-and-mortar businesses, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and last-mile delivery. This role will coordinate between our HQ team in Long Island City, retail team in Williamsburg, and logistics providers nationwide. They are expected to collaborate across all of our teams, while helping others consider operational needs in their work. They are also expected to be number-savvy and make data-backed decisions, using data to track key operational information to monitor our operations across the different channels. This is an in-person role in NYC. Core Responsibilities Inventory Management Accurately track and monitor stock levels across sales channels and product lines
Manage product flow and inventory transfers between our warehouse, LIC HQ, Williamsburg store
Ensure seamless communication and operational alignment across locations
Provide thoughtful, data-driven input for sales planning and inventory needs Order Processing & Fulfillment Coordinate with warehouse partners to monitor order fulfillment, address delays, and resolve fulfillment problems across all channels
Process wholesale orders from start to finish including order entry, invoicing, fulfillment coordination, maintaining account records, and supporting administrative tasks such as updating price lists and order forms Customer Experience Management Resolve customer inquiries on a daily basis, including product questions, order delays, shipping damage, returns, and other issues by developing a deep understanding of internal systems to address root causes rather than surface-level fixes
Troubleshoot complex customer problems creatively, coordinate with carriers and warehouse for urgent issues, and share customer insights with team to improve products and processes Operational Leadership and Support Lead operational projects with internal teams, business partners, and vendors to achieve key business objectives
Provide support for workspace organization, office and store supply runs, inter-location deliveries, and other in-person needs in our NYC locations

Proactive and forward looking. You think ahead and can see all the possible outcomes. You plan proactively about potential mishaps and are ready with backup plans. Required Qualifications Passion for Taiwanese food and culture
2 years of similar operations, supply chain, or customer service experience
Strong familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (familiar with Vlookup, Conditional Formatting, Pivot Tables)
Ability to lift 20lb+ boxes with a handtruck
Ability to work in-person in NYC across all boroughs
Valid driver’s license
Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in multi-channel retail and wholesale supply chain operations
1 year of experience in e-commerce customer service and ticketing platforms
Working knowledge of Excel Macros and basic SQL queries
Proficiecy in written and spoken Mandarin
Background in food industry, specialty retail, or CPG products
Knowledge of Taiwanese food culture and ingredients Work Arrangement Full-time position based primarily at Long Island City headquarters
Regular travel to Williamsburg retail location
Some local regional travel with leadership team and vendor meetings
Flexible schedule based on operational needs and operational requirements (for example, corresponding with Taiwanese partners)
Salary Range:
