One of my best clients is currently searching for a Director of Operations for their facility located near Syracuse NY.

From route optimization to customer satisfaction, we’re committed to delivering excellence every mile of the way. Now, we’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of Operations to lead our distribution network and elevate our operational performance.
Position Overview:
As Director of Operations, you’ll oversee the end-to-end functionality of our DSD network-from warehouse management to field delivery execution. You’ll drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and lead a large team across multiple locations. This is a role for a results-oriented leader who knows how to balance strategy with action in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day operations across warehouse, delivery, and route sales teams Develop and execute strategies to improve delivery performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction Oversee route planning, scheduling, fleet management, and compliance Implement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to track operational performance Partner with sales and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between field execution and business goals Recruit, train, and mentor operations managers and supervisors Champion safety, DOT compliance, and regulatory standards Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and technology upgrades
Qualifications:
