Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Innkeeper to oversee all aspects of the inn’s operations. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who thrives in a diverse role and is eager to live on-site, becoming an integral part of the inn’s character and community. As Innkeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, managing daily operations, and maintaining the inn’s high standards.

Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

Provide exceptional customer service, including check-ins/outs, guest inquiries, concierge services, and resolving any guest issues promptly and professionally.

Property Management:

Oversee the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the 15 guest rooms, common areas, and grounds. Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors as needed.

Food & Beverage Operations:

Manage the inn’s homemade ice cream and pizza operations, including inventory, ordering, preparation, quality control, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

Financial Management:

Handle daily cash reconciliation, manage budgets, and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Marketing & Sales:

Assist with promoting the inn, managing online listings, and contributing to strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.

Staff Supervision:

If applicable, recruit, train, and supervise any on-site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Community Engagement:

Act as a local ambassador, providing guests with information about local attractions, events, and dining options in Watkins Glen.

Emergency Response:

Be available to respond to any on-site emergencies or guest needs.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (minimum of 3-5 years) in hotel management or as an Innkeeper, preferably in a boutique hotel or inn setting. Demonstrated experience in food and beverage management, including inventory, preparation, and customer service. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure. Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and basic computer skills. A passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences. Ability to work independently and manage a diverse set of responsibilities. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:
