Wholesale Floral Sales and Operations Manager Work Site Location:

East Patchogue, NY Salary Range:

Negotiable based on experience

Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday 6am

• 2:30pm Saturday 6am
• 10am (alternating schedule) Sunday 6am
• 10am (Peak Seasons Only ) The Wholesale Floral Sales and Operations Manager’s primary responsibilities encompass overseeing daily operations, managing inventory, managing sales team and support staff, assisting customers with orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.

They are also responsible for sourcing flowers, managing logistics, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers, and overseeing all other matters relating to the East Patchogue location and employees within.

Operations and Leadership:

Day-to-day operations: Ensuring smooth workflow, managing schedules, and overseeing tasks.

Team management:

Leading, motivating, and training sales and support staff.

Customer service:

Addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, communicating with credit department, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Scheduling and time management:

Effectively organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and carefully scheduling staff to stay within budget.

Conflict resolution:

Handling and resolving issues that arise within the team and with customers.

Reporting:

Promptly reporting employee or customer HR related issues, injuries, changes to employment status and all other payroll related matters to HR Department.

Sourcing, Inventory, and Logistics:

• Sourcing flowers: Identifying and purchasing fresh flowers and supplies from various sources.
• Negotiating with suppliers: Securing favorable pricing and terms with vendors.
• Inventory management: Ordering, receiving, and stocking floral products, ensuring optimal conditions for preservation. Promptly reporting quality issues to vendors for credit.

Logistics:

Managing the flow of goods, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient distribution.

Financial and Business Management:

Financial performance: Tracking financial metrics, making recommendations for improvement, and managing budgets.

Sales strategies:

Developing and implementing strategies to meet revenue targets.

Market trends:

Staying informed about industry trends and emerging opportunities.

Relationship building:

Cultivating relationships with suppliers and customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Creating visually appealing displays: Maintaining a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing store environment.

Training and development:

Mentoring and training staff to provide excellent customer service, keeping them up to date on new products and floral trends.

Project planning and execution:

Creating and executing plans to stay within budget for upcoming projects and busy floral holidays.

Problem-solving and decision-making:

Addressing challenges and making timely decisions to ensure smooth operations.

Travel:

Occasional travel to corporate headquarters in Massachusetts.

Job Type:

$65,000.00

• $75,000.
