FREE offers a wide range of services, including housing, recovery services, employment support, crisis services, specialty health services, and advocacy. FREE is seeking two Operations Directors to oversee residential facilities in our Housing Services Department. One Director will focus on OPWDD Complex Programs , serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and forensic histories. The other will focus on Medical Programs , addressing complex clinical needs such as G-Tube feeding, diabetic care, and seizure disorders. Both roles ensure high-quality, person-centered care, compliance with regulations, and effective team leadership. Specifically, you will: Oversee day-to-day operations of residential programs, ensuring seamless integration of clinical and operational services. Develop and manage Staff Action Plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to address clinical, behavioral, and safety requirements. Collaborate with clinical teams to implement interventions for changes in health status. Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, evidence-based practices, and person-first care. Implement staff training programs focused on specialized needs (e.g., mental health, trauma-informed care, medical conditions like diabetic care or wound care). Engage stakeholders (families, care managers, providers) to ensure quality service. Conduct monthly supervision and annual performance appraisals for direct reports, providing constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, FREE policies, and quality standards, including accurate documentation. We require : Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 2 years working with people with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness, plus experience supervising direct care staff Valid NYS Driver’s License Competency in state, local, federal regulations, and agency policies relevant to certified/uncertified agency locations In-person role with travel required across Western LI, Central LI, Eastern LI, and Queens.
