OXFORD SOCIAL & ATHLETIC CLUB MANAGER/ ASSISTANT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

l . The Manager/ Asst. The manager will be hired for permanent employment on a vote by the board of directors of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club. Salary and benefits will be assigned on the date of hire and will be reviewed by the finance committee annually. a. Initial hiring shall be for a period of 90 days or any part thereof. This period is to be considered a trial period, and employment may be terminated at any time by the Board of Directors. 2. The Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors. 3. The Asst. Manager will report directly to the Manager of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club. 4. Asst. Manager will implement all policies and rules set forth by the Manager and/ or the Board of Directors. 5.

SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE MANAGER/ ASST. MANAGER

a. Supervision, scheduling, and time card review of all employees. Monitor shift changes, vacation scheduling, time off, etc b. Provide an orderly; disciplined, and efficient work environment for all subordinate employees. c. Ensure adequate training is provided for all new personnel and provide periodic employee reviews for the purpose of gauging performance and/or awarding applicable salary increases. d. Maintain an organized up to date employee personnel file. e. Scheduling of all maintenance requirements, including lawn care, snow removal, maintenance of equipment, etc. f. Ensure that a high level of house keeping and cleanliness of the facility is maintained. g. Co-ordination of club calendar for scheduling use of facility. h. Maintain sufficient inventories and supplies required for successful operation of the facility. i. Co-ordinate with food manager for procurement of necessary items/ supplies. j. Co-ordinate all deliveries to the facility. k. Take immediate action on minor/ necessary repairs to the facility. l. Maintain a consistent and professional line of communication with the Manager, Board of Directors ,and all subordinate employees. 6. Asst. Manager, in conjunction with the Manager will be responsible for interviewing and hiring of all additional personnel within board-approved guidelines and budget. 7. Manager/ Asst. Manager will administer necessary disciplinary action as set forth by the Board of Directors. Permanent discharge of an employee will require documented action and approval by the Board of Directors. 8. Manager/ Asst. Manager will support all internal organizations officially recognized by the association when Manager/ Asst. Managers’ authority and expertise are required for their activities. 9. Manager/ Asst. Manager will coordinate with the heads of the committees to facilitate ongoing projects or activities. 10. Manager/ Asst. Manager may perform acts of public relations as prescribed by the Board of Directors. I l . Manager/ Asst. Manager will be responsible for ensuring a high level of security is maintained in the facility to protect club property and assets. Key inventory will be administered. 12. Failure to comply with any of the duties described will result in disciplinary action as prescribed by the Board of Directors. Discharge of Manager/ Asst. Manager is an option at any time but will require a vote of the Board of Directors. 13. Manager/ Asst. Manager will become familiar with bar operations and will be required to assist in emergencies. 14. Manager may need to perform bar duties and/ or dining room service if needed on a busy night. 15. May be required to work some weekends to offset the busy season. a. Required to work three weekend days a month. 16. Required to work a minimum of 40 hours a week.
