Site Supervisor Vision Quest Logistics Carlisle, PA 17013 Primary Function The Site Supervisor will oversee operational processes to ensure the safety, accuracy and efficiency of the employees and the customers’ product. Additionally, this position is responsible for keeping track and the execution of the site’s KPI’s and the application of methods to improve processes. When the operation dictates the need, the supervisor will cover operational gaps and perform laborious tasks to ensure that the customers’ operational goals are met. The Site Supervisor will preferably be bilingual, have strong people skills, be able to manage a wide variety of administrative and clerical tasks, and be proficient with computers and the use of Microsoft Office software. Job Functions § Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends. § Oversee efficiency of operational processes. § Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for the site. § Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of staff. § Research methods to improve operations, efficiency gains, and reduce costs. § Monitor, verify, complete, and report site performance documentation using company’s preferred method to communicate. § Schedule distribution of work to optimize productivity. § Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. § Will need to take the appropriate action(s) regarding unforeseeable issues and assure that they are properly documented and communicated to management. § Stage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment, materials, and space. § Safely climb in and out of trailers. § Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a concrete floor in a non-climate-controlled atmosphere that may be slippery at times. § Adhere to and enforce company safety policies. § Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements § Will be bilingual and at least 18 years of age. § High school diploma or GED preferred. § Prior experience loading and unloading trailers preferred. § Prior forklift / clamp truck experience in a freight / less than truckload environment preferred. § Prior RF/ WMS experience a plus. § Highly motivated individual with attention to detail. § Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator. § Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) . § Prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location. § Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weighs up to 25 – 50 lbs frequently (utilize team lift for product over 50 lbs). § Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift. § Ability to follow instructions and complete required training. § Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment. § Required to wear protective clothing and Personal Protective Equipment. Background friendly as long as it’s nothing violent. Working Conditions § Dock environment; non-climate controlled, exhaust, fumes, dust, loud noise, heavy moving equipment
