Department Residence Life & Housing Job Purpose:
Responsible for the support of operational and administrative functions that support a vibrant and student-centered residential community. This position assists in seamless execution of housing assignments, facilities coordination, and operational processes while supporting the University of Scranton’s mission and Jesuit values. The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in fostering an inclusive and welcoming residential experience.
Essential Duties:
Serve as a resource for students, parents and staff regarding housing concerns and inquiries. Works closely with Residence Life & Housing staff to ensure operational support for residential programs and student engagement initiatives. Supervise, support, and train student office staff members in all aspects of office operations, including customer service, office policies and procedures, and assisting with walk in inquiries. Provide accurate record keeping and reporting support through use of programs and systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, Banner, Residence Housing Software Program, and the Purchasing Card Software. Maintain department applications and forms by utilizing the Residence Housing Software Program or RoyalSync management software. Facilitate work order processing from student reporting process to the Facilities Management system and ensure timely follow through. Coordinates summer, intersession, and break housing processes. Manage residence hall key inventories and electronic access system Facilitate billing processes for room and board charges in coordination with the Assistant Director of Residence Life & Housing and the Bursars Office.

Minimum Education Requirements:
High School or equivalent required
Preferred Education:
An associates degree in a field related to technology, hospitality management, human services, facilities management, or office/business administration preferred
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience with knowledge of Office 365
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with of SCT Banner or similar system preferred
