We areseeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role ofDirector of Operations – Live Production for our thrivingchicken-producing plants. This role is pivotal in our company’ssuccess, overseeing the entire live production process, fromhatchery to grow outs, to ensure optimal production metrics. Thesuccessful candidate will have a hands-on approach, managing over100 farm techs while ensuring the highest quality of production.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Director of Operations – LiveProduction, your responsibilities will include, but are not limitedto: 1. Overseeing the entire live production process, includingbreeders, hatchery, feed mill, and grow-outs. 2. Managing a largeteam of 100 farm techs, ensuring optimal performance, and providingguidance and support where necessary. 3. Ensuring the quality ofproduction is maintained at the highest level, implementing qualitycontrol measures and procedures. 4. Overseeing the egg flow,ensuring a smooth and efficient process from hatchery to grow-outs.5. Monitoring bird weights and adjusting processes as necessary toensure optimal production metrics. 6. Implementing and maintaininglive production models, continually seeking ways to optimize thesefor increased productivity and efficiency. 7. Collaborating withother department heads to ensure the smooth operation of allaspects of the company. 8. Developing and implementing strategiesto improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our live productionoperations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the role ofPermanent Director of Operations – Live Production will have: 1. Aminimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within themanufacturing industry. 2. Proven experience with grow-outs, feedmill, hatchery, and breeders. 3. Experience managing large teams,with a proven track record of developing and motivating staff. 4.Thorough knowledge of live production models and the ability toimplement and optimize these. 5. A strong focus on quality, withexperience implementing quality control measures and procedures. 6.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thinkstrategically and make decisions under pressure. 7. Strongcommunication skills, with the ability to effectively communicatewith staff at all levels of the organization. 8. A degree in arelated field would be highly advantageous.
