Role:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall productivity and profitability of the branch office. This position will balance Safety, Quality, and Productivity to achieve business goals in the area of Sales, Customer Net Promoter Score, Employee Engagement and Profitability. Responsibilities include managing and coaching the Sales team and support staff, initiate training and development programs under guidelines as established by the Corporation. Role:
Sales:
Achieve sales budget Participate in developing branch and individual sales representatives’ sales budgets Monitor selling price and hourly returns Insure the consistency and accuracy of field diagnosis and plant health care programs Initiate process improvement sessions and ensure compliance Carry out program guidelines to insure uncompromising customer service excellence
Operations:
Profitability of the branch location Assist with field supervision of crews and coordinate training support through Service Line Directors (SLD’s) Monitor and ensure compliance of all safety and quality standards by all personnel Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment to deliver services and facilitate the operation of the branch area available, managing to the operating budget Monitor crew productivity to ensure goals and targets are being met on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis with support from DM Resolve operational problems daily with support from DM as needed Ensure all areas of operations are properly staffed and controlled Coordinate repairs of the physical facility Manage fleet and equipment repair and maintenance with support of DM, District Mechanic and Corporate Fleet Manager Resolve customer comments in accordance to company standards for response time and action Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as they pertain to personnel, vehicles and pesticide applications with support from
DM and SLD’s Employee Relations & Administration:
Recruit, select, train, develop, coach and assess direct reports, and ensure the same for the direct reports of others. Partner with Human Resources regarding emerging Employee Relations issues. i.e. lack of compliance with company standards, policies and procedures, under performance and in-voluntary separations. Coordinate training to ensure all field personnel are properly trained, licensed, etc. Perform timely employee performance evaluations with support of DM Ensure the processing of all work through branch reporting systems and the Prodeo data base, plus other requests, through the supervision and oversight of the branch Office Manager in an accurate and timely basis in accordance with company guidelines and standards, including emails and communications sent to Branch Managers and Branch Leaders Other responsibilities as assigned and required for the branch operations to be successful and the company standards maintained
Decision Making Authority:
Interview and selection of field personnel; partner with District Manager regarding compensation related to experience, equity and the budget. Manage employee relations issues in partnership with Human Resources (all corrective action memos must be vetted by HR prior to issuing). Purchase and manage inventory in conjunction with the District Manager Manage facility and fleet repair and maintenance, in conjunction with the Fleet and District Managers Adherence to and corrective action regarding Safety and Regulatory compliance

Must be comfortable working in an office environment and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs. and navigate/use technology. Qualifications for this
Role:
Degree in Business Management or Arboriculture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent experience ISA Certification (or willingness to obtain) a definite plus Management experience in the tree care industry experience preferred Successful candidates will excel in logistics and have experience in the day-to-day operations of a business, preferably in the tree care or landscape industries Business management as well as knowledge of General Tree Care, Plant Health Care or Lawn Care ideal
