Job Overview:
The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-artcoffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting afull beverage distribution center. Spartanburg is the largest KDRPmanufacturing and distribution location. The site will operate onthe foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance);leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the powerof Highly Effective Teams. All associates at the Spartanburg sitewill have accountability to both a functional business unit inaddition to the full site operation. The site will run onfirst-in-class enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systemswith highly automated processing, packaging, and material movementequipment. As a Operations Manager, you will be expected to leadand inspire teams of highly skilled, highly engaged employees andsupport a “team of teams” and mini-Business Unit approach that willenable our employees to achieve extraordinary results. You willprovide oversight and guidance to a team of 30 productionassociates and work collaboratively across all functions tostreamline efficiency of production, optimize cost per unit, anddeliver world class safety, quality, and delivery performance.
Working within a highly automated TPM-based environment, crewleaders will enable disciplined execution of standardized processesthrough leader standard work and layered process audits, whileteaching and facilitating structured problem-solving techniques andprocesses to drive waste out of the system and promote a culture ofcontinuous improvement.
Shift & Schedule:
This is a full timeposition on our Night (N1) shift: Sunday, Monday Tuesday, Alt.
Saturdays, 6:30pm-7:00am. Flexibility for additional coverageoutside of these hours, including potential weekends and/orholidays, is also required as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Deliverbest-in-class performance across the balanced Scorecard
- Deliverupon the site safety goal of zero injuries by leading, promotingand supporting safety culture through behavioral safetyobservations, facilitation of safety meetings, completion ofregular safety audits and visible leadership moments, enforcementof lock-out/tag-out program, and 100% completion of all safety andregulatory training
- Achieve zero-defect performance and improvethe customer experience by leading a right first-time approach toall production, conducting layered process audits to ensure allquality processes are being followed, and leading Root CauseCorrective Action efforts when defects do occur
- Workcollaboratively with maintenance, quality, material handling anddistribution center to reduce unplanned downtime and increasemachine availability through the establishment and sustainment ofautonomous and preventive/predictive maintenance SOPs and TPMprograms
- Lead cross-functional focused improvement initiatives tostreamline material flow and improve equipment efficiency toincrease capacity and reduce operating expenses
- Facilitatemini-Business Unit Structure (mBU) and Support Highly EffectiveTeam model in a TPM-based Environment
- Lead 30 associates throughfull employee cycle, including interviewing, hiring, and trainingto coaching, performance management, development, and recognition
- Provide leadership and support to operations teams in support ofsite operational meeting cadence (production planning, TPMStarpoint, mini-Business Unit, site leadership, and employeemeetings)
- Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordancewith the organization’s TPM and Highly Effective Team Principles,policies and applicable laws. Ensure high performance results ofyour team by:

This is an exempt, salaried position paidon a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by thecandidate’s experience level.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from accreditedUniversity in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, orBusiness preferred
- Five years of experience applying hands-onknowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in manufacturing orequivalent environment
- Minimum five years of experience in aleadership role supporting 10 associates in a Lean environment
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP orsimilar manufacturing data systems
- Ability to spend significanttime standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency ofcomputer work
