This position requires a hands-on approach to managing livestock, as well as supervising farm staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal husbandry, and farm machinery operation and Maintenance, along with excellent leadership skills. Responsibilities Manage livestock care, ensuring proper feeding, health monitoring, and overall animal welfare. Supervise and train farm staff in best practices for poultry house management and equipment operation. Maintain and repair all farm machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure optimal performance. . Conduct regular inspections of the farm to identify issues related to equipment or animal care. Utilize math skills for record-keeping and inventory management. • Skills Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Basic math skills for budgeting, inventory tracking, and operational planning. Microsoft Excel Experience in animal handling and husbandry practices. Knowledge of farm machinery and heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Familiarity with power tools and equipment repair techniques. Ability to do basic plumbing repairs, electrical diagnostics and repair, and carpentry. Strong attention to detail in maintaining records related to poultry Production Excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise on the farm.
