What You Will DoThe Senior Operations Manager of Transportationis primarily responsible for overseeing all of Operations, or theflow of product through the building. This includes supervising ateam of Operations Supervisors responsible for monitoring the safe,efficient and effective movement of inventory through the facility.
This role analyzes and forecasts production volume and reevaluatesresources throughout the day as workflow conditions change to meetstore demand. The SOM leads the team to achieve or exceed keyperformance indicator targets despite these fluctuating demands.
The SOM resolves more complex operational issues escalated fromhis/her team and is responsible for communicating businessobjectives and daily workload plans to team and seniorleadership.
What We’re Looking For Required to work a set schedulethat meets the needs of the facility. May be asked to workmornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the needs ofthe facility. Must work in a distribution/warehouse environmentwith the physical and environmental aspects typically associatedwith such environment. Minimally must be able to lift 25 poundswithout assistance; ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
