AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises a team of material handlers, operators, specialists, and leads in VAS (Value Added Services – comprised of Triage/Test Diagnostics/Inbound/Outbound Quality) by providing tools needed to perform their assignments including but not limited to process information, job allocations, training, equipment and other needed support. Prepares and analyzes reports and charts showing assigned department progress regarding safety, production, throughput, inventory, attendance, and budgetary compliance (metrics and KPIs) Ensures departmental goals of safety, quality, cost and time are met and maintains an atmosphere of trust and positive morale for the department and overall company. Develop, write, train, maintain standard operating documentation for department which includes but not limited to SOPs, Work Instructions, Job Aids, Deviations, and Quality Alerts. Supervises and communicates priorities and goals to the VAS (Value Added Services) Team assigned Assists Operations management in developing and maintaining training program of VAS Material Handlers, Operators, Specialists, and leads Lead, Develop and implement improvements as needed through change management, continuous improvement, and cross collaboration with other area leadership teams Flexibility to ensure completion of other duties assigned by operations leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED equivalent – higher education degree a plus not required
- Minimum of two years of supervisor/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, good oral and writing skills and the ability to create and analyze reports.
- Working knowledge of process methodology through tools such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, TQM, PDCA, 5 Why Analysis and BPM
- Working knowledge of PC applications to output reports
- Understanding and knowledge of
ISO/R2V3/OSHA
