This role includes managing inventory, scheduling staff, routing deliveries, and driving process improvements. RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all operational functions to support business objectives, including productivity, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with Sales, Administrative, and Warehouse teams to align operations with overall business goals. Maintain accurate and timely paperwork flow including material receiving, customer billing, and invoice processing. Manage all aspects of inventory control: monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory, and implement loss prevention practices. Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and workload distribution across shifts. Plan and route delivery trucks to ensure timely and efficient deliveries; coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to streamline logistics. Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on time. Monitor and manage labor and operational expenses to maximize efficiency and profitability. Apply supply chain best practices to optimize the flow of goods and reduce operational bottlenecks. Lead and mentor a team of materials handlers, warehouse staff, and drivers; recruit, train, set objectives, and evaluate performance. Provide cross-functional support by stepping in on tasks such as loading/unloading trucks and maintaining warehouse standards. Ensure team members receive the necessary safety, compliance, and job-specific training to enhance their development and performance.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or warehouse management. Industry experience preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Experience in inventory management, including conducting audits and maintaining inventory accuracy. Ability to create and manage staff schedules and coordinate daily logistics and routing activities. Effective communicator and collaborator across departments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational tools/software. Highly organized, self-motivated, and results driven. Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements. Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
