$46.1K – $56.7K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Full Job Description The Director will be responsible to develop and oversee programs for the maturation of football athletes and assist them as they prepare to be productive members of the university and the community at large. The Director will work with community leaders to garner continued financial support for the football program and establish cooperative agreements. Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 10,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 180,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide oversight of recruiting activities. Provide oversight of programs for the maturation of football athletes and assist them as they prepare to be productive members of the University and the Community at large. Assist with team travel plans Prepare and input invoices. Work with community leaders to garner continued financial support for the football program and establish cooperative agreements Oversee community outreach Coordinate Official visits and on campus game day recruiting activities Oversee the development of annual football clinics and summer camp structures Assist in monitoring student athletes academic progress; serve as liaison to the Compliance office, Campus Fraternities, NFL Scouts, High School Coaches and other groups assigned by the head coach Serve as contact for visiting teams. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to serve as positive role model for student athletes; Knowledge of and ability to follow all NCAA rules and regulations Ability to work to educate athletes, coaches, and representatives of athletic interest associated with this position
