Location:
Murfreesboro, TN We’re looking for a driven and dependable Operations Manager (BC) to lead a team. You’ll oversee daily operations, hold drivers accountable, manage communication with FedEx, and ensure deliveries go out efficiently and safely. This position is for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, adapts fast, and thrives in a high-pressure logistics environment.
Important Note:
This is not a standard 9-to-5. You’ll have some long days and occasional weekends. But we also offer schedule flexibility when operational demands allow.
Compensation & Schedule Daily Pay:
$250-$275/day (based on experience and performance) Requirements Must be 21+ for insurance purposes Valid driver’s license with capability to drive P1000+ step vans Must pass background check, drug test, and DOT physical (FedEx covered) Comfortable jumping in to run routes when needed Physically fit and capable of lifting packages up to 50 LBS and Maneuvering Packages up to 150 LBS Previous FedEx experience preferred (UPS, Amazon, or other logistics backgrounds welcome) Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily P&D operations Hold drivers accountable to performance and safety standards Drive routes if necessary to cover callouts or shortages Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and dispatching Process timecards and manage payroll reporting Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training drivers Maintain and optimize DRO (Dynamic Routing) Oversee fleet maintenance and minimize downtime Promote a strong safety culture with required training compliance Maintain professional communication with FedEx Ground staff
