- 4:30 pm The Director, Oncology Operations, provides leadership for the ROH Cancer Center’s operational, financial, administrative, and clinical aspects.
The incumbent is responsible for achieving outcomes in five major domains: operational management; financial and human resources (HR) management; strategy, practice development, and marketing; clinical, quality, and compliance oversight; and organizational leadership. The Director collaborates with physician leadership, marketing, planning, finance, HR, and other departments, as required. The Director demonstrates personal leadership through activities at the strategic and operational level that facilitate interdisciplinary support and program development for all oncology and infusion services within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Collaborates with ROH leadership and CAC to set and achieve operational goals. Manages daily operations, provider schedules, equipment, facilities, and support services (e.g., pharmacy, lab). Tracks project progress and ensures timely credentialing of providers. Oversees process improvement, patient flow, and regulatory compliance.
Financial & HR Management:
Develops and manages operating and capital budgets. Oversees staffing levels, hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee relations in collaboration with HR. Ensures staff are aligned with program goals and held accountable for results. Strategy, Marketing, & Practice
Development:
Executes strategic and marketing plans for oncology services. Analyzes market trends, evaluates service expansion opportunities, and collaborates on facility planning. Represents oncology services in community outreach and events.
Clinical, Quality, & Compliance Oversight:
Ensures evidence-based practices, formulary management, and protocol development. Develops quality improvement programs and oversees department policies. Promotes patient satisfaction and enforces safety and compliance standards.
Organizational Leadership:
Leads cross-functional collaboration and conflict resolution. Promotes effective communication, staff engagement, and positive working relationships.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s in Health Services or Business Administration (Required); BSN (Required)
Licensure:
RN license required upon hire.
Experience:
5+ years in oncology leadership/administration (Required)
1+ year in cancer leadership or RN/clinical management (Preferred)
Skills and Competencies:
Deep knowledge of oncology care, clinical operations, and reimbursement. Strong leadership, team-building, and project management abilities. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Proven success in program development and operational improvement. Physical Demands
