Job Description
Operations Manager Primester 1801 Warrick Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660 Job Purpose The Operations Managers position leads the production department and their efforts in the safe and cost-effective operation of the facility. This position is responsible for facilitating, directing and controlling as appropriate, all aspects of the production operation to ensure achievement of Company’s goals and objectives in conjunction with the Managing Director. This position ensures that the plant is operating in compliance with all regulatory and company policies, procedures and regulations. Job Duties & Responsibilities 1. Plan, organize and direct the Manufacturing department and Process Engineering 2. Work with other functional leaders (internally, externally, and corporate) to develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labor and equipment to meet production targets. 3. Organize and facilitate as needed production shutdown/start-up for maintenance purposes. 4. Achieve project or departmental objectives within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters. 5. Identify and resolve safety concerns or issues, including accident/incident reporting, investigation and resolution. 6. Ensure that manufacturing team members are responsible for their safety, the safety of their team members and the quality of our production. 7. Develop and deliver Manufacturing Cost Savings plans to achieve annual Savings Goals. 8. Provide full cycle performance management support for direct reports. 9. Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomes. 10. Working closely with Commercial, Business, Logistics, Pricing and Procurement teams and participates in periodic meetings. 11. Maintaining close working links with Manufacturing and understands production capacity if applicable. 12. Maintain and ensure compliance of work instructions pertaining to local laws and regulations to facilitate effective and efficient use of SAP and other electronic tools. 13. Overseeing the Planning, Inventory Management and Product Support Services processes, if applicable in close cooperation with regional and/or global Supply Managers 14. Providing input to regional 3rd party service provider contracts in close cooperation with Logistics and procurement ensuring business requirements are met. 15. Participating in the regional & global business aligned Supply and Consensus meetings in close cooperation with the Supply Managers. 16. Serving as a link to regional Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) Teams as applicable. 17. Actively leading improvement projects resulting in improved service & cost position, optimal inventory and efficient distribution. 18. Utilizing corporate software programs and computer systems to monitor and analyze cost, forecast, production, demand, supply and other related data. Designing, generating, maintaining and monitoring monthly Key Performance Indicator.

Discipline in Chemical Engineering Minimum of 5 years of Chemical Engineering and/or Leadership Role Continuous Improvement/Manufacturing Excellence Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and produce reports. Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
