RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all established safety procedures and preferred work methods to ensure a secure work environment; report any unsafe conditions immediately. Inspect and prepare pallet jack or forklift before use; ensure all safety mechanisms and PPE are in place and functioning. Review daily schedules and collect necessary materials to start operations efficiently. Navigate multi-level warehouse racks to locate and select appropriate food and non-food items as listed on customer order sheets. Build and organize single or double pallets based on order requirements, ensuring secure and accurate item placement. Transport finished pallets to the staging area, applying shrink-wrap and labels as needed for outbound shipment. Monitor battery usage and perform equipment inspections; swap or recharge batteries and complete necessary vehicle logs. Maintain equipment and complete all documentation at shift end; support additional tasks and departmental needs as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 6 to 12 months of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations preferred. Willingness to work scheduled shifts including overtime, Sunday through Thursday, starting at 3:00 PM until finish. Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, and carry items for extended periods. Capable of lifting between 10-35 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally during a shift. Comfortable working in varied temperature zones including refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage areas.
