Cherry Picker Operator – Order Selector 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars Newton, NC 28658 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating cherry picker equipment to retrieve and transport products within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring that our shipping and receiving processes run smoothly, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities Operate cherry picker equipment to pick and transport products from high shelving units. Accurately fulfill orders by selecting items based on order specifications. Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency. Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns. Assist in shipping and receiving tasks as needed, including inventory management using a warehouse management system. Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Previous experience operating cherry picker equipment. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a distribution center environment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus. Experience with pallet jacks and materials handling techniques. Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while working in a fast-paced environment. Previous roles as an order picker or in warehouse supervision will be considered advantageous.
