Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.

Summary:

The BRS Associate I is responsible for sample management activities around specimen storage, retrieval, shipment, and destruction. The BRS Associate I will work closely with the Investigator Support Services (ISS) and Sample Processing Services (SPS) staff for sample management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Specimen storage at all temperatures
Preparation of specimen shipments
Identification and escalation of sample discrepancies Client (internal and external) communications Biorepository housekeeping tasks including, but not limited to, freezer maintenance, alarm testing, maintenance of supplies, and end-of-day activities
Attend BRS trainings/meetings
Other duties as required by management

Education/Experience and Skills Required:

High School Diploma (or GED) required.
Training and education in clinical laboratory sciences is preferred and working in a complex office operation is preferred
Microsoft Office applications including MS Word and Excel required

Hours and Schedule:

Part-Time
In office, Thursday – Saturday 9:30am-6pm
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Must manage biological samples
Dry ice handling, LN2 and CO2 present in the workplace, UV rays present
