Job Summary:

As our first part-time employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our orders are packed accurately and shipped promptly. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in customer service. Key Responsibilities:

• Pack orders of tropical house plants and related products for shipment, ensuring that all items are secure and well-protected.
• Inspect plants and materials for quality before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Label packages accurately and prepare them for shipping, adhering to shipping guidelines and timelines.
• Maintain an organized packing area, keeping supplies stocked and equipment in good working order.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize packing processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing incoming stock.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and order tracking.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• A passion for plants and a basic understanding of tropical house plants is desirable.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Hours and Compensation:

• This is a part-time position with flexible hours, approximately 20 hours per week.
• Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
