General Assembler & Packer Location:

Pompano Beach Job Summary Our manufacturing company is seeking General Assemblers & Packers to join our production line team. We’re looking for individuals who have a thirst for knowledge and self-improvement, and always show up for work on time. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in assembly and be capable of reading drawings and procedures correctly. Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Work 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm). Overtime when needed Primary responsibilities Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products Maintain inventory of products in workstations Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly. Regularly perform repetitive tasks Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts Good understanding of quality control principles Good communication skills (verbal and written) Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement. Use tools to make or repair parts and products. Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products. Keep a clean and tidy workspace Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Prioritize given work assignments for the day to meet specified shipment times. Conduct tests and collect data. Keeping workstation clean, organized, and stocked with needed parts. Assist in product design, development, and production. Prepare and conduct experiments. Ability to take initiative and prioritize given work assignments. Skills High school diploma/GED required 1+ years experience in general assembly work or specialized training Ability to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts Great attention to detail and quality. Experience with power and hand tools a plus Basic math and communication skills required Commensurate with experience
