Job Title:

Packer Job Description Join our dynamic Wicks Department as a Packer, where you will play a key role in moving and managing reels around the warehouse and preparing them for shipping. This includes tasks such as bubble wrapping and boxing up items, ensuring they are ready for delivery. Responsibilities Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Transport raw materials to production workstations. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities. Essential Skills Experience in packaging and shipping. Warehouse work experience. Ability to pack reels into boxes. Proficiency in using a sit-down forklift and RF scanner. Experience with bubble wrapping and labeling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift and maneuver 30-50lbs. At least 1 year of prior manufacturing or warehouse experience. Experience in shipping and receiving. Experience with inventory management. Excellent physical condition and coordination. Valid certification to operate forklifts. High school diploma. Quick learner with attention to detail. Work Environment Work in a spacious 278,000 square feet facility located in Pompano Beach. The production floor has air conditioning in the wicks area, although some areas do not. You will work the shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Personal Protective Equipment is required, including steel-toe boots (not provided), while safety glasses, sleeves, and gloves are provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $16.00/hr.
