Job Description
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of product Exercises some independent judgment in resolving product issues and also asks for support in resolving issues Has a high competency level of all product lines and product testing procedures Can provide leadership and problem-solving assistance to inspectors Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilities Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma/GED and two years inspection/production experience preferred. Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
