Bilingual Forklift (Spanish and English) Chase Staffing formerly Chase Professionals Atlanta, GA 30336 We are urgently hiring a reliable skilled forklift operator with a manufacturing/production background Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish $17.50-$19.00 per hour This person must be ok with being on the forklift and floating doing other production duties Background and drug test required 2+ years of recent Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is required Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly as needed Food manufacturing/production experience is preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Must have reliable transportation to and from work due to company location and over-time that is required Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm Must be ok with working as early as 7am if needed and Saturdays. Right now they are working every other Saturday Good job stability is required Job description as follows… Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Forklift Driver and Floater. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operations packaging, and distribution processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials and assisting in various operational tasks as needed. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): supporting, planning, organizing and controlling production with a goal of increasing efficiency, quality and productivity, ensuring a uniform method of receiving and handling bulk oil, transportation of products and material to, from, and within the warehouse, and unloading of product and loading of finished goods into trailers in preparation for transport and filling out any required paperwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Arrive to work on time and work during scheduled hours, working additional overtime as needed Maintain good personal hygiene. Wear designated uniform maintained in good condition Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required Perform all work activities in a safe manner. Maintain a safe, clean, and clutter free work area Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Follow all procedures, adhering to all safety policies and procedures Assist with inventory process as requested Complete production assignments in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental schedules. Position may require working alternate hours or weekends to meet customer delivery requirements. Examine products to verify quality and consistency. Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from production areas to staging and loading docks, and delivery vehicles using forklifts or manual pallet jacks. Load trucks correctly per shipping manifest, verifying product quantities that go out in a shipment. Unloading railcars/tankers and reviewing paperwork to ensure both the product and the quantity match paperwork. Utilize daily safety checklist of Forklift, and other Staging Area equipment. Clean equipment following completion of production cycle. Ability to walk, stand, crouch, bend, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. REQUIREMENTS
English speaking and comprehension, Bilingual preferred (Spanish) Minimum of 2+ years related experience Must have or be able to obtain a Forklift Certification Education – High School diploma or GED Basic computer skills Ability to work independently and have excellent attention to detail Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Should be able to work 7:00am-6pm M-F, required OT on occasion Must be punctual and reliable Ensure work areas are neat, clean, and free of safety hazards. Work Environment Work primarily performed in a warehouse, production, or storage environment. May involve exposure to temperature changes, strong odors, or production noise typical of edible oil manufacturing. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
