Manufacturing Production Worker/Packer Location:
Sharon, MA Job Type:
Full-Time, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. InMetal is a precision sheet metal fabricator. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Production Worker for our shop. This position involves assisting in various stages of production, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Job Responsibilities Use standard packing machinery and procedures to pack and box various parts in cartons or containers. Complete all required labels and documentation on boxes, per each job requirement.
Know packing procedures:
posting weights, skidding, crating, boxing, banding and stretch wrapping for local and long distance shipping. Inspect condition of parts while packing and pack to ensure against damage during shipment. Able to do some heavy lifting. Able to enter job quantities and labor information into computer system. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computer. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a manufacturing/ labor-intensive role is required Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery is preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively Strong work ethic and reliability
