Receiver 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 10 Bradley Drive, Westbrook, ME 04092 Warehouse Receiving Team Member – Day’s Our Warehouse Receivers are responsible for quality assurance on incoming products, accurate counting, and putting products away into storage. We work as part of a team to safely, accurately, and efficiently receive products to fulfill customer needs. We offer flexible start times and workday schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify Quality of products being received meet standards to include but not limited to meeting USDA requirements and visual quality inspections to meet customer standards. Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with receiving documentation. Report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in the system. Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift. Complete required paperwork for daily receiving Document and communicate any products that do not meet quality standards. Replenish pick slots for day or nights selection operations. Experience/Skills/Requirements Excellent attention to detail Safety conscious ‘heads-up attitude/approach Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-based environment. Adhere to all safety guidelines/requirements, including proper body mechanics. Dependable and punctual Previous warehouse receiving experience with forklift use is helpful. Effective communication and interpersonal skills Physical and Mental Demands Physical and mental ability to perform the duties of this job include physical ability to lift product of varying weights of up to 65 lbs. from and to multiple levels, including above shoulder and at floor level on a frequent basis; ability to push, pull reach for, and move products using a pallet jack or other material handling equipment; continuous standing for up to 6-12 hours (with normal break schedules); frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing (stairs) and reaching. Must be able to work in varying temperatures (65°F to 22°F). Ability to concentrate on details, accurately read from printed order lists, use of RF Scan guns and to perform more than one task at a time, while maintaining receiving accuracy and performance rates. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers and all levels of personnel.
