SUMMARY:
This is a 2nd shift position – 2:45pm – 11:00pm Responsible for performing packing tasks to ensure company packing procedures are followed and production schedules are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all tasks as instructed and works shifts as assigned by supervision. Responsible for performing packing tasks to ensure all company procedures are met and production is operating efficiently. Checks all boxes to ensure packing standards are met and all date codes are correct. Responsible for monitoring and handling of overflow product to minimize loss of product. Responsible for communication with other departments to ensure efficient operation of the production process. Maintains all records related to packaging. Performs relief duty in other departments as needed. Assists and trains employees as needed Responsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety. Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean. Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed Performs related duties as assigned by supervision Responsible for meeting all quality, sanitation and production standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally required to lift and pull up to 40 pounds Occasionally required to carry items up to 40 pounds Required to work while standing for periods up to 2 hours Required to bend, reach, stoop, lift, push and pull frequently Required to work in plant environment Perform light to medium duty work tasks
