JOB SUMMARY
To sort, store, retrieve, and pack laminate to meet customer needs and provide quality service. Perform other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pull material from appropriate bins, tree racks and overflows to fill the orders and place on table or skid as appropriate Pack the customer order using the customer packaging specifications (skids, pallets, cartons) Make build-ups and band skids for completed orders to prevent damage and ensure safe delivery. Perform all documentation required for the packing process. Maintain a clean and organized work space. Place defective material in the reject box Operate forklift and platform lift Change batteries and propane tank for the forklifts and platform lifts as needed. Maintain paperwork Regular attendance required Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and
ABILITIES
Knowledge of NEMA and Production Quality standards applicable to the shipping department. Knowledge of product, types and finishes. Recognition and identification of patterns by color and design. Ability to read and understand run tickets and orders for pulling and packing material. Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the Shipping Department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards. Ability to read a tape measure and operate moving equipment in a safe and comfortable manner Ability to work independently
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
High School Diploma/Equivalency or will consider a combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
One year of work experience
