Shipping Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Statesville, NC 28677 II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses daily production schedule to identify product and have working knowledge of product in production in order to facilitate shipping & receiving of finished products or components. Maintain accurate inventory counts for all products located in the storage racks. Maintain accurate move ticket/packing list to provide to management, inventory counts for all products located in warehouse storage area. Stage boxes at machine centers as required. Stage product shipments in designated areas and stretch wrap as required/directed. After completion of production order, all remaining raw material is transported, weighed and recorded. Ensure all product is labeled and put in stock in its correct stocking location, per 5S standards. Ensure all product quantities are correct and accurate. Advise of potential stock-outs when supplies are low. Maintain good housekeeping in work area and wherever work is performed. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Pack and verify hardware for shipment. Fill out accessory check-off sheet. Check that product is of good quality and produced in accordance with the sales order. Verify lid and body count as required. Prepare bills of lading and any other required shipping paperwork. Confirm all transactions in and out of inventory are captured via the ERP System. Assist in loading products on trailers (by rolling or using a forklift) and preparing Less than Truck Load-LTL shipments. Maintains shipping area per 5(S) Standards. Wear all required Personal Protection Equipment. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Education and Experience Forklift certification is required and can be obtained onsite. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Must have effective oral and written communication skills Ability to perform duties independently with little supervision. Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards per 5(S) Standards. Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to push/pull equipment between 100lbs. Must be able to roll product weighing up to 350lbs. onto trailers. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Excellent forklift skills with emphasis on safety. Ability to use electronic scales, cameras, and have competent computer skills. Experience with inventory control and shipping preferred Ability to accurately keep records of inventory and transaction timeliness. Must be available for mandatory overtime as needed.
