Components Packer 1 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 450 Centerpoint Blvd, Pittston, PA 18640 Summary/Objective This position is responsible for packing various metal components for shipment, such that product will not be damaged in transit and is accurately labeled. Olympia Chimney & Venting | NEPA @ Work | WVIA Documentary Essential Functions Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials. Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Remove completed or defective products or materials Load materials and products into package processing equipment. Assemble, line, and pad boxes using hand tools. Pack boxes following a specific set of instructions Seal and label each container Other duties as assigned Assist with painting application and finish inspection

Technical skills:
Ability to take accurate measurements, cut and assemble cartons. Ability to paint or apply silicone to enhance and complete finished goods. Ability to utilize computer or scanners for printing labels or picking. Ability to use machinery to pick consumables/materials upwards of 20ft from the ground. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, Shift is: 8:00am – 4:30pm. Travel This position requires no travel.
