FUNCTION
Performs proper scanning procedure(s). Inspects, packs, palletizes yarn products. Reconditions products as required. Makes cartons, labels, tallies, weights, records, and delivers products to designated areas. Ensures products meet quality specifications.
DUTIES:
1. Checks production needs, schedules order of inspection. 2. Procures yarn, loads and unloads packing devices.
3. Performs proper scanning procedure(s), visually inspects each package produced (including but not limited to weight segregation, tails, defects, etc.). Rejects off-quality products and notifies appropriate personnel. 4. Identifies, labels, wraps, and pack any material according to established procedures and specifications. 5. Stacks cartons on pallets. 6. Operates material handling devices and other Packing Room equipment (including but not limited to weight segregator, jacks, etc.). 7. Chops runback, weights, segregates and cleans defective yarn. 8. Transfers full pallets to designated area (including but not limited to weight segregator, X-area, T-160 oven, H&W ovens, etc.).
9. Procures direct materials, assemble packing materials, and distributes to point of use. 10. Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant. 11. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by Management).
Must be able to pass work keys testing. Reading scores needs to be a 4 or higher, locating needs to be a four or higher and workplace observation needs to be a 3 or higher.
