Repacking Associate 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars North Charleston, SC 29405 Are you comfortable working in a cold environment and overnight shifts? Do you have experience with order picking or repacking? If so, Masis Staffing may have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking Repacking Associates for full-time positions on the 3rd shift with a company in North Charleston.

10 pm – 6 am
Pay Rate:
$16/hr I.
Job Purpose/Objective:
The Repacking Associate is responsible for pulling products in an accurate and timely manner for customers who order products in smaller quantities (by each, by pound, or by half case). The Repacking Associate is also responsible for loading the “repacked items” on to a pallet in an accurate and timely manner for customers. II.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Pulling, labeling, and re packaging broken case / short order product for customers by measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials 2. Inspecting completed orders to ensure that all product items have been pulled and ensure that produce is packed properly 3. Make sure that all produce is stocked in an organized manner so as to save time and increase ease of work 4. Keep track of stocks received from various sources 5. Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met. 6. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. 7. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas.
Additional Job Functions:
1. Cleaning the warehouse area including sweeping and removal of any boxes 2. Filling empty slots with new produce, dairy products, and dry goods Working Conditions/Job Environment 1. Degree of physical demands (strength) usually associated with this position:
- Minimum lift requirement 50-60 lbs on a regular basis
- Requires repeated stooping and bending
- Frequent lifting and carrying of boxed/bagged fruits and vegetables
- Requires continuous standing for extended periods of time 2. Environmental conditions (physical surroundings and hazards) usually associated with this position:
- Working in a 40 degree (F) processing area for 8-10 hours on a daily basis
- Working in a damp environment 8-10 hours on a daily basis
- Moderately noisy environment
Preferred Qualifications:
1.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent 2.
Experience:
- 1 -2 years direct order pulling experience preferably in the produce industry 3.
Knowledge:
- Advanced warehouse distribution and advanced produce knowledge 4.
Skills and Abilities:
- Flexibility and adaptable to change in work assignments and priorities.
- Must be a self starter, assertive – decision maker, forward thinker, and problem solver.
