KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build custom wooden crates to fit signage products of various shapes and sizes Safely secure finished signs within crates using foam, straps, and other protective materials Read and interpret work orders, shipping instructions, and product dimensions Ensure products are crated to prevent movement or damage during transportation Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to cut and assemble crate components Label crates clearly with destination, handling instructions, and contents Collaborate with fabrication and shipping departments to ensure on-time order completion Perform visual quality checks on signage before crating Keep crating work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols Support other warehouse or shipping duties as needed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED preferred 1-2 years of experience in crating, carpentry, warehouse, or related field Comfortable working with saws, drills, nail guns, and other common shop tools Ability to lift and move signage products and materials up to 75 lbs Basic math and measuring skills required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow written instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision Able to read tape measuring
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers Ability to be fitted for a Respirator, both Medically and Physically Others as deemed required by company to be safe for your role

Lifting and Carrying :
Frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds, sometimes repeatedly throughout the shift.
Standing and Walking :
Stand and walk for prolonged periods (8+ hours per shift).
Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling :
Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch while building and securing crates.
Climbing :
Occasionally climb ladders or steps to access storage or packaging areas.
Manual Dexterity :
Use hands and arms to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery with precision.
Repetitive Motions :
Perform repetitive tasks such as hammering, sawing, and lifting.
Environmental Exposure :
Work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, sawdust, temperature fluctuations, and occasional outdoor elements.
