JOB DESCRIPTION
The Packer & Stocker is responsible for supporting fulfillment and inventory operations by managing incoming stock, organizing and replenishing materials, and preparing outgoing shipments. This team member plays a key role in maintaining efficiency and accuracy within Designer Drugs Pharmacy’s high-volume distribution workflow. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive and unpack incoming materials and organize them for storage or shipment. Place received stock in appropriate locations (shelves, freezers, cold-chain areas) for packaging or labeling. Maintain accurate and organized stock areas and replenish packing stations and supply zones. Sort, label, and rotate inventory using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methodology. Build shipping kits and boxes, stock cold-chain materials (ice packs, dry ice), and manage inventory of supplies. Package items for shipment or patient pickup according to pharmacy SOPs. Match shipping labels to correct prescriptions and ensure accuracy of packaged orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Support fulfillment of up to 500 packages per day alongside team members. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or company leadership.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or fulfillment environment preferred. Basic understanding of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, tape machines, and shelving systems. Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, work instructions, and packing guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
Basic math skills:
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and move for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
